STUK er også en mulighed for internationale elever.
Hvis du er kommet til Danmark i forbindelse med fx et efterskoleophold og efterfølgende har lyst til at tage en dansk studentereksamen – altså en dansksproget STX, så er STUK måske en mulighed.
For det første er STUK et kostgymnasium. Derfor er der mulighed for at bo på skolens kollegie. Her kan man i trygge rammer fortsætte efterskolelivet.
På STUK tager man som udgangspunkt en almen studentereksamen på 2 år, men det er muligt i særlige tilfælde at sprede det ud over 3 år. Det betyder, at man spreder de timer, man har på to år udover tre år. Det er værd at bemærke, at den to-årige stx giver adgang til videregående uddannelser på lige fod med andre stx-former. På den to-årige stx er grundforløbet fjernet. De fag, som er skåret væk, er ikke afgørende for valget af videregående uddannelser. Desuden er antallet af timer per fag reduceret. Dette kompenseres ved små holdstørrelser og tæt vejledning af elever.
Det betyder, at vi i forhold til fx internationale elever kan tilrettelægge et forløb, hvor man det første år starter med de små fag eller har fokus på sprogfag, og dermed tilrettelægger et forløb, hvor der er tid til at øve sig på de sproglige færdigheder i dansk – herunder den skriftlige dimension.
Take a Danish STX – the Upper Secondary School Leaving Examination as an International Student
STUK is also an option for international students.
If you have come to Denmark in connection with, for example, a boarding school stay (efterskole) and would like to complete a Danish upper secondary school leaving examination – that is, a Danish‑language STX – then STUK may be an opportunity.
First of all, STUK is a upper‑secondary boarding school. This means that you have the option to live at the school’s student residence. Here, you can continue the boarding‑school experience in a safe and supportive environment.
At STUK, students generally complete a general upper secondary education in 2 years, but in special cases it is possible to extend the programme to 3 years. This means spreading the timetable normally completed over two years across three. It is worth noting that the two‑year STX provides access to higher education on the same terms as other forms of STX. In the two‑year STX, the basic foundation course has been removed. The subjects that have been cut are not decisive for choosing a higher‑education programme. In addition, the number of lesson hours per subject is reduced. This is compensated for by small class sizes and close academic guidance.
This means that, particularly for international students, we can organise a programme in which you start with the smaller subjects or focus on language subjects during the first year, thereby creating a schedule that allows time to practise Danish language skills – including written Danish.
Regardless of which study programme you are interested in, we can arrange a course of study where you complete the STX while also having the time and space to improve your written and spoken Danish skills.
Taking an upper secondary education at STUK is free of charge. However, it costs DKK 3,000 per month to live in our student residence (including meals on weekdays), and you should expect some additional costs if you wish to participate in extracurricular activities connected to your Danish language instruction.
Below are examples of possible study plans. There are three examples corresponding to the three available study programmes: the language track, the social science track, and the natural science track.

Uanset hvilken studieretning, du er interesseret i, så kan vi dermed tilrettelægge et forløb, hvor du tager en studentereksamen, samtidig med at der også bliver tid og rum til at forbedre dine færdigheder i skriftlig og mundtlig dansk.
At tage en studentereksamen på STUK er gratis. Det koster dog 3000 kr. om måneden at bo på vores kollegie (inkl. kost på hverdage), og så skal man regne med en vis egenbetaling, hvis man ønsker at deltage i ekstra aktiviteter i forbindelse med undervisning i dansk.
